Dr. Nazmi Kaynak received the B.Sc. degree from METU in 1999, M.Eng. degree from National University of Singapore in 2002, and Ph.D. degree from Arizona State University in 2005 in Electrical Engineering Department. Since November 2005, he has been working at data storage division of STMicroelectronics as a member of technical staff, in San Diego, CA. During his Ph.D. study, Dr. Kaynak did internship at Seagate Research at summer terms of 2003 and 2004. His academic research interest areas are in digital communications, wireless and mobile communications, error correction coding, coding for recording, and wireless communication channels. Dr. Kaynak holds one issued and three pending US patents, And he also published more than twenty journal and conference papers.
